Here is the winner of best paint and peoples choice?  Best Paint & Peoples choice...  Maybe he will BMF the chrome for next year  Bitchen paint job, but with all awesome stuff that was there and the fact that it's a curbside kit...just sayin'  |

I know Mario, he is an awesome painter. I know he doesn't detail totally. He paints real 1:1 cars for a living. If he did detail them all out they would be way killer!!!!

I didn't mean any disrespect to the builder...just wanted to point out that a lot of people only see a perfect shiny paint job and that's it. I'm guilty too as I didn't even notice the lack of BMF when I was at the show (only after looking at the pics). Many, many nicely built and detailed models get overlooked at shows because of paint...that was my only point. |

No no, not taking it that way. I just wanted to say that he doesn't do a ton of extra detailing. If he did it would be even kooler.
I'm the same way, I used to do a ton of judging at shows so I see that stuff too. Tires not scuffed, lack of bmf, about the only time I overlook the lack of stuff is when I know it's a young or beginning builder.
A few years ago at Rockford Wheels in Scale I had to judge the class he was in. He like here had a killer paint job and lacked in other, I voted for another more complete car as a result. He took best paint go figure but didn't take class.
