I had to share this story with you guys. A little background 1st. I'm not sure how many of you have built the AMT '65 GTO kit, but it does not make for a good hardtop. You have to glue the hardtop roof in place and it does not fit worth a shit...not to mention all of the bodywork needed at the "C" pillars and top of the windshield frame ( not fun places to do bodywork). I was aware of a resin caster was making copies of the original '65 GTO hardtop promo bodies, but kept putting off getting one because of the price. I kept thinkin' " I order one soon"... So I was able to procure a AMT '65 GTO donor kit from Cal a couple months ago then went directly to Missing Link Resin's website to order a body only to find the hardtop body was no longer there...uh-oh. So I emailed Missing Link to find out the deal...their response "We haven't offered that body in years"...uh-oh again. So now what is a Fish to do ?? I quick search on ebay and nuthin'. Well last week a new, unused Missing Link '65 GTO body came up for sale on ebay and I was victorious...I even paid quite a bit less than if I would have bought it from Missing Link 6 years ago ;D Here's a sneak peak There is a moral to this story. If you see a resin kit/body you want...you should buy it. You never know how long it will be around...I got lucky.

It looks really nice, congrats on the score! Hey, what is that cool lookin' Ford in the background? Thanks...just addin' another one to the pile ;D The "Ford" is a 1962 Mercury Monterey. I had a complete untouched kit in the mess that was missing the body...got the body this week off of ebay.
