Dave wanted to go racing; he found a clean"little-old-lady" 6cyl. stripper Firebird for sale in a local paper and bought it. The car was a little over budget, and a Camaro was WAY out of reach, so he had only enough money left for the bare essential speed parts. He found a 502 in the parts box and went to M.A.D. for valve covers, carbs, distributor, coil, MSD box, and the tach. He found the seat, wheels and tires, spoiler and decals in the parts bin. Scratch-built are the hood scoop, inner door panels, side glass, fuel lines, throttle linkage, headers, driveshaft and loop, and the subframe connectors. Detailmaster supplied the harness, hood pins and the emergency shut-off. The "original paint" is Verdoro Green by Colors for Miniatures, supplied by Fish's Paint and Body, and the "fiberglass" hood is flat black covered in semi-gloss overcoat. Thanks for looking and enjoy the pics.
