Well, helloooooo everyone! long time no see. I am taking a break from my day-to-day chores and the trailer-thrash to post some pics. Here is my "finally done" Simple-Pete for the Jamboree. I liked the kit cuz it was very affordable and pretty simple to build. Other than the tires sucking, it builds up to a pretty nice truck. In my opinion, the box art does the truck no justice, but that's just me. So, if anyone wants to build a Semi tractor and doesn't want to bite off a full-on truck kit, the Revell Pete 359 is a good choice. The truck is basically box stock with the exception of the round eye-balls, front bumper, exhaust, and air lines. Oh, and the decals. Enjoy the photos and thanks for looking! Looks Great!!!! How did you make the air bags look so real?? When is the show,I hope to have one done if every thing goes right.

The show is on the 12th of August, I think. And the air bags got a wash of really thin, light military gray after flat black, to give them that chalky look. Thanks for noticing! I'm goin' but I'm not showin'...I'll be there Friday afternoon/evening...not sure what time yet. And probably sometime on Saturday too.
Nice truck by the way...I really like the color combo!

Newt, when do the models have to be registered by,and where? Mine finely showed up on Mon. and I have been burning the midnight oil trying to get it done. Wish me luck!!!

Hey Surprise! Registration is from noon til 9pm Friday. They get judged on Saturday, and you have to pick them up by about 2pm because they have to get the hall ready for the dance Saturday night. They give the results at the awards presentation sometime after the parade, which starts at 3pm.

Good luck to Surprise AND Fish! I am glad that we will have a good showing! A good friend of mine always say, "there will be plenty of time to sleep when you're dead." Here she is. All mounted and ready to go. I believe that it is easier to transport and/or move a tractor/trailer if it is mounted to a board, or something. Enjoy the pics and good luck to everyone at the show!     Now I can get to work on the OTHER project that we are involved in. Hats off to HRT for keepin' keepin-on with the tuck-n-roll! And, thanks to HRT and Fish for the good deals on the pieces (trailer and H1) I needed to put this mess together. GO TROOPS! |

I wasn't very impressed I had to re-drill all the holes so things fit,also the tires really piss me off they look like hell. But otherwise I think it turned out ok. |
